Liz Loney-Cline, President and Owner of RSI, announced this week that RSI provided over $93,000 in scholarships to U.S. Armed Forces veterans, people working in the industry, and RSI employee family members. This is one of the many things that make RSI a great school. From the top management there is a philosophy of investing in people’s lives to help them achieve their goals and contribute to the industry. There is a feeling of family here. Because that is the attitude at the highest levels, it permeates through to the staff, faculty, and comes out in the training and quality of education.

The mission of The Refrigeration School, Inc. is to assist adult learners in development of the skills and knowledge necessary, and to support their personal goals, for employment and professional growth in the HVAC/R and Electrical Technologies fields.

PURPOSES

Ø  To promote effective student learning, skills and values that have proven to enhance the success of professionals in their career field.

Ø  To facilitate an atmosphere of concern and caring for individuals in which to nurture adult learners’ quest for academic excellence.

Ø   To offer instruction, through a curriculum relevant to industry needs, that includes an appropriate mix of classroom and hands-on experience to bridge the gap between theory and practical application of the subjects introduced.

Ø  To continue to explore effective and efficient methods to facilitate student learning.

Ø  To utilize student and industry feedback in evaluating, refining and developing educational offerings.

To be a for profit organization in order to maintain an appropriate innovative environment for focusing on providing excellence in service, educational quality and convenience for adult students.

The philosophy of The Refrigeration School, Inc. is based upon the belief that the purpose of education is to assist the student in developing excellence in mind, body, and character, and to prepare them to become productive members of our changing society.  To this end, The Refrigeration School, Inc. focuses on two areas:first, to give students the chance to receive enough scholastic preparation to be able to pursue their career plans; second, to challenge a student to reach his or her highest level of academic knowledge and leadership capabilities, and develop self-reliance and resourcefulness. The result is a graduate who takes pride in his or her work and is ready to take a responsible part in an employer’s organization after graduation.
